Velocerta supports authorised DVLA vehicle identity and tax data and DVSA MOT history data. Availability depends on the configured environment and provider access. Source information is displayed with its source and last-checked time.

Manual policy references may be recorded against a vehicle record for review purposes but are not independently verified. Access to any approved insurance data source requires formal approval, contract and permitted use. We will update this page when an approved provider connection is available.

Velocerta does not currently have an active MIB connection. Any future MIB or approved insurance-provider integration would require formal approval, a commercial agreement and permitted use authorisation. Velocerta does not use or automate the public MIB checker.

The platform currently supports DVLA vehicle identity and tax data and DVSA MOT history via authorised provider integrations. Insurance monitoring is not currently connected. The platform is designed to be extended to support additional check types as authorised provider access is established.

Compliance checks run against connected data providers on a configurable schedule. Each check records the full provider response, including result, timestamp and provider reference. The platform compares each result against the previous known state and generates an alert only when a meaningful change is detected, reducing noise while ensuring genuine compliance events are surfaced.

No. Velocerta provides information, alerts, cases and audit history. Enforcement decisions remain with authorised human users within the customer organisation. The platform does not automatically suspend vehicles, drivers, operators or licences. This is a deliberate design principle, not a limitation.

A "not found" or unavailable result from a data provider does not automatically mean a vehicle is uninsured, non-compliant or presents a risk. It may reflect a data-submission delay, a record not yet registered on the provider's system, or other administrative factors. Results must be reviewed by authorised staff according to the organisation's approved procedures before any action is taken.

Velocerta is designed for councils, taxi and private-hire licensing teams, commercial fleet operators and other authorised organisations managing vehicle compliance. The platform supports both licensing authority and operator use cases.

Velocerta is available for controlled demonstrations and design-partner evaluation while operational, legal and provider-access controls are completed. Live customer deployment requires completion of security assurance, data-processing agreements and legal review.

Velocerta is engineered with security and auditability as core requirements. The platform uses organisation-scoped access controls with server-side enforcement, role-based access control, rotating authentication tokens, append-only audit history and webhook signing. Yes. File uploads are now available. Operators can attach documents — such as MOT certificates, insurance schedules and inspection reports — directly to compliance cases and vehicle records. Uploaded files are stored securely and accessible to authorised users within the same organisation.
